🕷️ Make Intricate Die Cuts EASY with Adhesive Sheets! | Fri-YAY Halloween Card
Have you ever fallen in love with a beautiful, intricate die cut… only to wonder, “How am I supposed to get adhesive on ALL those tiny little pieces?!” 😂
If you’ve ever struggled with trying to glue detailed die cuts, today’s Fri-YAY card video is going to give you a crafting trick you’ll definitely want to add to your toolbox!
Today I’m sharing how I use Adhesive Sheets to make working with intricate die cuts SO much easier. Instead of trying to add tiny dots of glue to all those little details, the adhesive sheet does the hard work for you!
And what better way to show off this technique than with a cutsey Halloween card?! 🎃🕷️
🕸️ A Little Web of Fun!
For today’s card, I’m featuring the Web of Fun Bundle, which is perfect for adding playful Halloween touches to your cards and paper-crafting projects.
The detailed spiderweb and adorable spider make the perfect spooky accents, and the Halloween-themed sentiments help pull the whole design together.
I especially love how the spiderweb gives this card that intricate, detailed look—without making the card difficult to create!
🐝 The Adhesive Sheet Trick
Here’s where the magic happens!
When you’re working with an intricate die cut, applying liquid glue to all those tiny areas can be frustrating. Adhesive Sheets give you an easy way to add adhesive to the back of your cardstock before you die cut it.
Once your piece is cut, you simply remove the backing and your intricate die cut is ready to adhere!
✨ No tiny glue dots.
✨ No messy glue.
✨ No trying to figure out where to put adhesive.
Just peel, stick, and you’re done!
This is one of those simple little crafting tricks that can make such a BIG difference when you’re working with detailed dies.
🎃 Adding Some Halloween Details
Of course, I couldn’t stop at the spiderweb!
I colored the adorable spider with Stampin’ Blends and added a little extra shimmer to the die cut words using the Crisp Cantaloupe Shimmer Pen.
I also used a sponge dauber and Pumpkin Pie ink to add some extra depth and shading.
Then came some of my favorite finishing touches:
🦇 Bats, Ghosts & Dots Embellishments for those adorable little bats
🎀 Black Iridescent Ribbon for a little sparkle and shine
🕸️ Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing Folder to add texture with its fun bat detailing
All those little details take this card from cute to spooktacular! 👻
✨ Don’t Forget the Texture!
One of my favorite things about card making is how much texture can add to a project.
For this card, I used the Seasonal Cheer Mini Embossing Folder featuring those fun little bats. The embossed texture adds another layer of interest without overwhelming the design.
Between the embossed bats, shimmering details, iridescent ribbon, and sparkly embellishments, this card has lots to discover!
