Fri-YAY Card Making: Clean & Simple White on White Fern & Flora Card
Sometimes the simplest cards create the biggest wow moments — and today’s Fri-YAY project is the perfect example! 🤍✨
In today’s video, I’m featuring the beautiful Fern & Flora Bundle, a dreamy collection of nature-inspired images and coordinating dies perfect for creating elegant handmade cards.
The inspiration for this card was a crisp, clean white-on-white design. I started with a Thick Basic White card base and layered additional Basic White layers to create subtle dimension. I added delicate fern die cuts using Basic White cardstock, creating a soft and elegant monochromatic look.
To help those beautiful fern details stand out, I added a gentle blend of Strawberry Slush ink behind the die cuts. This little pop of color creates a soft glow while still keeping the bright, clean feel of the card.
The magic happens in the details! ✨
I added Wink of Stella splattering across the background for a touch of sparkle and a whimsical finish. A sentiment stamped in Secret Sea ink added the perfect contrast, while a bit of twine brought in texture. Finally, 5 Basic Pearl embellishments completed the card with a beautiful classic touch.
This card reminds me that elegant doesn’t have to mean complicated. Sometimes a simple color palette, beautiful layers, and a few special details are all you need to create something truly stunning.
