Today’s Fri-YAY project is full of texture, layered details, and beautiful butterflies 🦋✨
I created a fun brick laying punch card featuring a peek-through window design and a gorgeous textured background using the stunning Velvet Meadow Specialty Designer Series Paper.
🧱 Brick Laying Punch Technique
For this project, I used the Rounded Rectangle Punch to create a brick-style layout across the card front. One of my favorite parts of today’s tutorial is sharing my go-to trick for perfectly aligning punched pieces every time — it makes this technique so much easier and gives a polished finished look.
🌸 Velvet Meadow Specialty Paper
The Velvet Meadow Designer Series Paper adds so much interest and versatility to this card because each sheet includes:
- Floral patterns on one side
- Soft neutral designs on the reverse
- Specialty velvet flocking on select sheets for soft texture
The velvet detail gives the project an elegant, touchable finish that really stands out.
🦋 All Aflutter Stamp Set
I paired the background with the beautiful All Aflutter Stamp Set, using the butterfly images and sweet sentiments to bring movement and softness to the design.
This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set, which makes it easy to layer colors and create extra detail and dimension in the butterfly images.
🎨 Color Combination
For this card, I used:
- Berry Burst
- Bubble Bath
This combination creates such a soft, feminine, cheerful feel.
🌸 Finishing Touches
To complete the project, I added the beautiful Dreamy Flowers embellishments in Berry Burst for extra dimension and texture.
These peel-and-stick flowers are such an easy way to finish off a card with a little added charm and elegance.
I hope today’s project inspires you to experiment with punches, textures, and peek-through designs in your own crafting!
Happy stamping 💕
