Today’s cardmaking class was all about creating a rugged, masculine card using the gorgeous new Textured Notes Suite from Stampin’ Up! 💌 If you’ve ever felt stuck designing cards for the guys in your life, you’re going to love this project!
I featured a few techniques that really gave this card that perfectly worn and weathered look:
✨ Tearing/Ripping Technique — I tore the edges of my layers to add a rugged, distressed feel that’s just right for masculine designs.
✨ Speckling Technique — Using a Stampin’ Write Marker in Crumb Cake, I added speckles for an extra touch of texture and depth.
✨ Color Palette — I kept the tones earthy and classic with Early Espresso and Crumb Cake inks. These colors are warm, rich, and oh-so-sophisticated!
✨ Designer Series Paper — The background is built using the beautifully textured Woven Textures DSP, which perfectly complements the rugged vibe.
✨ Finishing Touches — A few Neutral Matte Dots were the perfect embellishment to keep the card polished without being fussy.
This suite makes it so easy to create cards that are both stylish and masculine—and with these simple techniques, you can add so much interest without adding too much bulk or fuss.
