Happy Hibiscus Card Class – Split Embossing & Sponging Techniques! 🌺✨
Welcome to another What’s She Makin’ Wednesday! 🎉 Today, we’re getting creative with the Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set and learning two fun techniques—split embossing and sponging—to add beautiful depth and texture to our cards.
Technique 1: Split Embossing
Embossing is a great way to add texture, but did you know you can create a split design for even more interest? I’ll show you how to use your embossing folders in a unique way to create a balanced yet eye-catching background.
Technique 2: Sponge Daubing for Stunning Hibiscus Flowers
To bring our hibiscus die cuts to life, I used sponge daubers to blend color and create a soft, natural gradient effect. The colors I used:
🎨 Daffodil Delight – A bright and sunny yellow for the flower centers
🎨 Flirty Flamingo – A soft pink that blends beautifully into the petals
🎨 Melon Mambo – A bold, vibrant pink to add striking contrast
By layering these colors, we get a realistic, tropical hibiscus look—perfect for summer, vacation, or just bright, happy vibes!
