Ohhhh the joys of a functional and organized Stampin Space! The most practical tip I’ve ever heard for organizing is that everything needs a home. Meaning when you know where everything goes, it’s so much easier to keep things organized and put back where they go. We tend to let things pile up when we aren’t sure where to put them. So every Fri-Yay I’ll be sharing a “Functional Fri-Yay” organizational tip with you. After all, our craftin Stampin Spaces are our Happy Places & I know I’m happier in my happy place when it’s clean, inviting, and ready for me to create in.
Today’s Functional Fri-Yay tip is all about stations. I love to create designated stations in my Stampin Space where like is with like. Today I’m going to show you my die cutting station. This is where I not only store my die cutting machines, but also where I store my embossing folders & my thin metal dies. I also do all of my die cutting on top of my station. everything all in one place makes it easy to access, easy to find, and easy to use.
My die cutting station is housed in a simple crafting cart. On top I have a wood lid that serves as a great surface to use my die cutting machines on.
Inside the top tier (under the wood lid) I keep all my cutting plates to make my die cutting sandwiches. Inside the 2nd and 3rd tiers of the cart I have acrylic cart inserts that hold my dies & embossing folders. I have them organized within the acrylic inserts into categories; holiday, floral/nature, tags, shapes, & large and mini embossing folders.
Having everything together and in one place makes it super easy peasy, & when things are easily accessible I’m more likely to want to use them 🙂 Clean, pretty, and functional makes for a Fri-Yay win!
